The EarthWatch Awards is an international award presented to individuals, institutions, organizations or companies and recognizes outstanding actions that improve the relationship between man and his environment, support sustainable development, water resource management and protects usability of the earth and her resources for all life.
Created by EarthWatch in 2002 (a development organization with Headquarter in Port Harcourt, Rivers State) the EarthWatch Awards was founded to annually honour men, women and organizations exhibiting exceptional creativity, courage, and commitment in improving the quality of all kinds of life in the society.
The Awards aim to draw national and international attention to the laureates' contributions to sustainable development, humanity, better living, dignity and character, thus generating more recognition and support for their individuality and projects.
